1. Scope of this policy
This policy applies to the YeYeKids mobile app and the services that make it work. YeYeKids is designed for responsible adults caring for a child to record and share information within a private care team.
YeYeKids is not intended for minors to create accounts. Information about babies and children is entered by parents, guardians, caregivers, or other authorized adults.
2. Information we collect
Account information
We collect the data needed to create and protect your account, such as your name, email address, internal user identifier, role, and — if you choose to add one — a profile photo.
Child profiles
A profile may include the name, date of birth, photo, description, and care information provided by the responsible adult, such as allergies, routines, instructions, comfort objects, emergency contacts, and pediatrician details.
Care logs and shared content
The information you or your team record may include:
- sleep and wake-ups;
- feeding, including bottle, solid foods, amounts, and breastfeeding;
- diaper changes;
- medications — name, dose, and unit;
- activities, mood, illness or general condition, notes, and observations;
- developmental milestones, dates, and descriptions;
- private care-team posts, albums, reactions, comments, and captions;
- daily summaries generated within the app.
Photos and videos
You can choose to upload photos for profiles, logs, posts, or milestones. The current version of YeYeKids does not allow uploading videos. If this feature changes, we will update this policy before applying any different handling.
Invitations, roles, and permissions
To invite someone, we process their email address, the proposed role (for example, caregiver, family member, or pediatrician), the invitation status, and the permissions assigned for each child. These permissions can limit specific actions or data, including medication details.
Notifications and device
If you allow notifications, we collect the notification token generated for your device and the platform (iOS or Android). Operating systems and notification providers may also generate technical identifiers needed to deliver messages. We do not use advertising identifiers.
Subscriptions and purchases
Apple or Google process purchases, and RevenueCat manages subscription status. YeYeKids may receive a customer identifier linked to your account, the product purchased, plan tier, status, renewals, and validity dates. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- create and authenticate accounts;
- save, sync, and display care profiles and logs;
- apply roles and permissions within each care team;
- send the notifications you have authorized;
- manage subscriptions and enable features according to the plan;
- generate summaries and answer questions through the AI features;
- maintain security, prevent abuse, and fix problems;
- comply with applicable legal obligations.
4. AI summaries and assistant
When you request a summary or use the assistant, YeYeKids sends your request — and only the care information your account is permitted to view — to a Supabase Edge Function. That function uses Anthropic Claude to generate the response. Generated summaries may be saved in YeYeKids to show to the authorized team.
You should not include unnecessary information in your questions. Automated responses may be incomplete or wrong and should always be reviewed with human judgment.
AI summaries and responses are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. YeYeKids is not a regulated medical device and is not a substitute for a pediatrician’s evaluation or emergency care.
5. Technical providers
We share information only when necessary to provide the service, with providers acting as infrastructure or technical processors, including:
- Supabase: authentication, Postgres database, file storage, real-time sync, and Edge Functions;
- Anthropic: processing requests for Claude when you use summaries or the assistant;
- Expo and Apple or Google services: delivery of push notifications;
- RevenueCat, Apple, and Google: processing and managing purchases and subscriptions.
These providers may process information in other countries under their own privacy and security obligations. We may also disclose information if a valid law requires it or if it is necessary to protect users, the service, or our rights.
6. When we share data with other people
Each child’s information is shared only with the invited and accepted members of their care team, according to the configured role and permissions. A parent or responsible adult can change or revoke access. You should invite only people you trust and review their permissions periodically.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use account data, health or care data, or activity within YeYeKids for third-party advertising, behavioral advertising, or cross-app and cross-site tracking.
7. Security and access
We use encrypted connections and access controls. Supabase applies Row Level Security (RLS) in the database to limit the data each account can view or modify. Some data, such as medication details, has additional permissions. No system can guarantee absolute security, but we apply reasonable measures to protect information.
8. Retention and deletion
We keep information while the account is active and for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, resolve incidents, and meet legal obligations. Individual records can be deleted when the corresponding feature and permissions are available.
To request deletion of your account and data, write to teamyeyekids@outlook.com from the email associated with your account. We may ask you to confirm your identity. Deleting data that is shared with or linked to a child may depend on your role, the rights of other responsible adults, and legal requirements. We will handle the request within a reasonable time and explain if any information must be retained.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access, correction, a copy, restriction, or deletion of your data, as well as to object to certain processing. You can update some information from within the app or write to the contact email. You can also turn off notifications in your device settings and revoke team members’ access when your permissions allow it.
10. Information about minors
YeYeKids handles information about babies and children because responsible adults choose to record it to coordinate their care. The app is not directed to minors and does not let them create accounts directly. Adults are responsible for having the authority needed to enter and share that information.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when features, providers, or applicable obligations change. We will post the new version on this page and update the effective date. If the change is significant, we may also notify you within the app.
